Thomas Tuchel & co. will back in action when they lock horns with Aston Villa on September 11 after the international break.

The Blues host Dean Smith’s side at Stamford Bridge with Tuchel’s men aiming of bounce back to winning ways after ended their last routine in the Premier League with 1-1 draw at Liverpool.

The Blues, who conceded only goal across their three matches, sitting fourth position on league standings, after beating Crystal Palace, Arsenal and draw at Liverpool. 

Ahead of host Aston Villa, who kick-off their Premier League campaign on record a win, loss and draw from their opening three matches, here is latest update regarding Thomas Tuchel’s men, who battle with injury problem in recent weeks.

Starting from N’Golo Kante, the Frenchman played only first 45 minutes at Liverpool after sustained ankle injury problem. 

However, the 30-year-old tireless midfielder managed to travelled with the France squad as they prepared for trio of World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine and Finland.

On Wednesday’s morning, Julien Maynard has confirmed Kante’s ankle issue was aggravated in training, and expected to returned to London for treatment in order to recovery before September 11 when the Blues face Aston Villa. 

But in evening Kante was on bench against Bosnia and Herzegovina, means the Frenchman’s injury sendback is not serious as will expected.

Despite made bench against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kante unable to feature for France in their World Cup qualifiers clash against Ukraine on Sunday.

As a result of that the tireless midfielder likely to missing this weekend’s clash against Aston Villa, but could make return to action when the Blues kick-off their Uefa Champions League against Zenit on September 14.

Romelu Lukaku, on the other hand, reportedly doubt for Saturday’s clash against Aston Villa after sustained an thigh injury problem during Belgium 3-0 win over Czech Republic on Sunday evening. 

The 28-year-old powerful striker marked his 100 appearances in Belgium shirt with scored amazing goal before booked in his nation’s 3-0 victory over Czech Republic in a World Cup Qualifying clash on Sunday, ruling him out of the upcoming game with Belarus.

Such a suspension will allow the powerful striker to return to England ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Saturday, but he will first undergo an injury assessment.

‘I will have a scan of my thigh first,’ he said, according to Evening Standard. ‘I am struggling with a minor issue for a while. And then I will return to Chelsea.’

Christian Pulisic has been missed Chelsea’s last two games after contracted with Covid-19 following Crystal Palace match.

Pulisic likely to be on bench against Villa while Ziyech, who was unused substitute against Liverpool after sustained shoulder injury problem in the Super Cup clash, looks shape in the Blues last couples of training session at Cobham.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also available after a bout of coronavirus, while new signing Saul Niguez could hope of make his debut when Chelsea lock horns with Aston Villa next Saturday. 

Meanwhile Chelsea, who will be without Reece James for the Villa game because of a red card against Liverpool.
