Barcelona vs PSG
UEFA Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 16 February 2021
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Camp Nou.
The last time these two faced off, the Champions League witnessed one of the greatest games in modern football. After completely being dismantled in the first leg of 2017 CL, with a 0-4 scorecard, the Catalans scripted an unbelievable 6-1 comeback at the Nou Camp.
And Neymar Jr, currently the talisman of the Parisians, had inspired the Spanish giants then to slot in three goals in the final six minutes of the match-up including injury time.
Suffice it to say that there’s scores to settle for the French champions, and it seems the right time to do so too – since Ronald Koeman’s men are arguably in their worst situation in the last 15 years.
Neymar might be ruled out of the fixture with injury, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men have enough firepower to lay waste to any defense in the world, let alone a weakened one that of the Catalans.
Likely, expect PSG to have the upper hand this Tuesday.
Barcelona vs PSG: Head-to-head (h2h)

- It’s been 26 years since the Ligue 1 team had recorded a knockout triumph.
- Koeman’s men had scored two or more goals in five of the preceding six encounters.
- Eight of the past eleven clashes had goals from both teams.
Barcelona vs PSG Prediction
Pochettino’s men are on a four-match winning run, and had scored two or more goals in seven of their preceding nine fixtures. They had also won eight of their former nine games, and were unbeaten in 17 of their last 19 matches.
On the other hand, the Catalans have a very worrying backline right now. It’s doubtful that Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo would take part in the game, and at present, these two are the only credible defenders they have.
Moreover, Koeman’s men have a total of two clean sheets in their past ten games, and one of these had come in the Copa del Rey, against a team from the lower division.
As such, expect PSG to have the edge against them.
However, Lionel Messi and co have a stupendous record in the CL at this venue, and recently their offense has been on fire. In fact, they had scored a total of 32 goals from their past 12 fixtures.
They are also determined to not let the back-to-back humiliations in the CL affect them.
Count on them to score at least once at their hallowed ground
