Transfer: João Félix travelling to London for medical and complete Chelsea loan move

João Félix has started his journey to London ahead of loan move to Chelsea

Chelsea have agreed a loan deal to sign João Félix, according to multiple sources.

The Portuguese forward was made available for a loan this month after falling out with Diego Simeone.

His game time at Atlético Madrid has been reduced and the Spanish club wanted to resolve the future of their record signing.

The Blues have agreed a very expensive six-month loan deal to bring in Félix.

It is understood that the deal is worth a total of £16 million which covers the loan fee and the player’s wages.

Felix travels to London

João Félix is currently travelling to London to finalise the move to Chelsea.

He will become the 13th signing of the Todd Boehly era in west London.

Graham Potter will be hopeful that the 23-year-old can help add goals to his team, who are now the lowest scorers in the top 10.

The former Benfica star has netted five times for Atléti this term.

Meanwhile, the west London club are only just about a top 10 team still as they currently sit in 10th place and just three points ahead of Aston Villa.

Félix’s arrival will also help ease the pressure on the Blues who are in a bit of an injury crisis at the moment.

Potter is currently without Sterling, Pulisic, Mount, Kante, Mendy, Broja, Chilwell, James and Fofana.
