EPL: This could be a stunning move asGraham Potter decides bringing Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku’s future at Chelsea is becoming more and more uncertain because the team is unsure of how the striker will fit into Graham Potter’s plans.

Romelu Lukaku has been given an ultimatum by Graham Potter on his future at Chelsea as the striker gets closer to leaving. The 29-year-old was frequently mentioned in connection with a long-term transfer from Stamford Bridge after losing favor under Thomas Tuchel.

After returning, Lukaku found it difficult to adjust to the Premier League. His time under the German coach quickly ran out, and he was benched. The Italian powerhouse Inter Milan was unwilling to pay the Blues’ asking fee to sign the striker outright due to their spending limitations.

Instead, the Nerazzurri chose to loan Lukaku out for the entire season, and Chelsea arranged for a sum to be paid in exchange. The Belgian international still has a hazy future at the club, even if he is scheduled to rejoin a new head coach at the end of the current campaign.

The west London club, according to Calcio Mercato, does not want to bring back a striker who does not suit Potter’s customary requirements. When Lukaku’s loan at Inter ends, the report claims that he will not want to go back to the Cobham training facility.

Initial talks about extending the Belgian’s spell at the San Siro past the agreed-upon season-long loan are reportedly underway between Chelsea and the Italian powerhouses. According to Calcio Mercato, there are now two possibilities on the table: a second loan or a fee of around £7 million.

Although Lukaku’s contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire in 2026, there are concerns over his future with the Blues under Potter’s leadership. And no matter what the next Chelsea manager has in mind, a return appears doubtful after departing on bad terms.
The talisman, valued at £60.7 million, admitted to have rage inside of him after leaving in a conversation with DAZN Italia last month. He also said that he doesn’t anticipate his circumstances at Chelsea getting any better.

Lukaku remarked, “The Chelsea season gave me extra incentive to achieve even better than before.” “In a year, I believe people will no longer remember my abilities on the field. I have a certain kind of anger inside of me.

“I had in mind when I departed to acquire Chelsea again. I spent eleven years at Chelsea when I was younger, and I wanted to return there as the main character.

“I began considering my ideal position after the most recent game. I had a challenging season at Chelsea, and I figured things wouldn’t get any better moving forward, so I made the decision to return.”
