Chelsea Latest Injuries Ahead Of Newcastle Clash On Monday as Werner And Christensen Involved

Chelsea will host Newchestle United on Monday night and they will be looking to continue their unbeaten run of form in the EPL, which has seen them win three consecutive matches on a trot under Thomas Tuchel, except for his debut 0-0 draw against Wolves.
Newcastle on the other hand will be aiming to go back home with all three points, when they face the Blues at Stamford bridge.
Ahead the game, Tuchel has provided some important information on team members, by telling us those that are fit to play the match.
Firstly, the Blues Boss cleared any injury doubt concerning Andreas Christensen, after he was substituted at half time against Barnsley in the FA Cup last Thursday.
Thomas Tuchel said, “it was not concussion related at all. It was a headache that caused us to took him off”.
Regarding Thiago Silva, who was not seen in the game against Sheffield and Barnsley because of an injury he sustained at White Hart Lane. He confirmed, “it is too soon for the Brazilian defender to play, we are aiming for Southampton game and trying hard, so let’s see if we can make it but not a promise”.
Then Timo Werna who missed the FA Cup clash against the Bees because of a dead leg, has recovered from it and will be in contention to start against Newchestle on Monday.
His compatriot in the person of Kai Havertz, is still recovering from an injury he picked up in training before the Tottenham match and will remain sidelined, the Chelsea manager concluded: “it’s Friday and we still have at least three training session before the game. It should be absolutely okay for Werna to come back but too soon for Havertz, I am not sure if he(Kai) is out in training today but definitely he will miss the match.Apart from all this players the rest of the team are fit to play, the manager will be hoping to win this game and increase hopes of qualifying for next season champions league
