Chelsea interim coach unable to explain his difficult situation, says "I can’t do it”

Bruno Saltor is in a strange and unique position now, having been brought to the club by Graham Potter from Brighton, he now has to succeed him (albeit temporarily) in the hot seat after the manager’s sacking.

So as his friend and boss is given the boot, he now has a huge chance to make a name for him as a replacement. He was asked to sum up his feelings after such a rollercoaster 24 hours but wasn’t able to.

“I can’t do it,” he said through gritted teeth at his press conference, noting how hard it was for him and his fellow staff members to deal with the unique and uncomfortable situation:

“I can’t, I can’t do it. It’s been difficult at every level, especially emotional. You have to deal with the press conference and players. It’s hard.”

In the end he dealt with the presser very well, not hiding the emotion and difficulty of the last 24 hours but managing to move things on.

Bruno Saltor on explaining the last 12/24 hours:

“I can’t, I can’t do it. It’s been difficult at every level, especially emotional. You have to deal with the press conference and players. It’s hard.”

Let’s hope the players and coaches can clear their minds for the session this afternoon and the game against Liverpool tomorrow.
